The name Mylecharane is supposedly derived from "Mallachi Ryans" an Irish name of course, which is said to have meant "son of Ryans."     In the time of Cromwell, they are supposed to have been chased out of Ireland and fled to the Isle of Man, taking with them a jeweled silver cross which is in a museum on the island today. (Manx notebook)

Birth date is the baptism date given to me by Donna J. Douglass, Gig Harbor, Washington, USA.

As per the 1841 Census Index for Ballaugh, Isle of Mann is the following:

        Mylecraine

        Thomas - 42, Jane- 34, Catherine - 11, Thomas - 10, Ellinor - 8, Ann - 5, John - 3.

Notes for JANE CALY:

There are two possibilities for Jane's parents as noted by Donna J. Douglass:

William Caley & Jane Teare married December 12, 1802 in Ballaugh, Isle of Mann

                                        or

John Caley & Elinor Mylrea married June 9, 1799 in Ballaugh, Isle of Mann

This could make Jane's birthday either - January 13, 1805 or December 15, 1805 born in Ballaugh, Isle of Mann.
