In 1765, one of the boundaries for the new St. Luke's Parish ran along one of the borders of Nathaniel Knotts' property.  I transcribed this document because of the light it sheds on the location of Nathaniel's property.

To the Worshipful the Justices of Queen Anne's County -
In pursuance of an assembly made at a session of Assembly begun and held at the City of Annapolis on the fifth day of November 1765 instituted an act for laying out anew and settling and ascertaining the future bounds of St. Lukes, Christ Church and St. John Parishes in Queen Anne's County and of St. Paul's Parish lying partly in Queen Anne's County and partly in Talbot County, we the undersigning commissioners and surveyor of Queen Anne's County aforesaid by us laid out anew and attest and ascertained to be as follows to wit-
Beginning at the Mouth of Corsica Creek on the North East side thereof and running up the creek and bounding therewith to the Three Bridges Branch then with the Three Bridges Branch up to Davis's Bridge and from thence with the Road leading from Chester Mill over Davis's Bridge to Dover in Kent County on Delaware.  As the ? bounds of Queen Anne's County, then Northerly with Queen Anne's County to that Branch of Chester River which divides Queen Anne's County from Kent County in Maryland then down that branch and the river and binding with the same at the beginning of the Mouth of Corsica Creek aforesaid.
