"Freedom
Flight"
A baby sleeps, A mother
cries
A daughter missing , A
father dies
A house destroyed, A
life shattered
A country in ruins, To
those who mattered
A painful walk, For
young and old
History repeated,
Horrors to be told
A tale of sorrows, So
often seen
Reminiscing of times,
That could have been
A camp created, A haven
for all
Refuge from danger, An
escape from the war
Families separated,
Families united
Kosovo deserted, A world
divided
A helping hand, The
governments decide
To relocate people, The
sorrow to hide
The planes are filled,
The faces all smiles
A distance to travel,
Some endless miles
Day become night, Night
becomes day
The distance becomes
closer, Hours tick away
The screams of an
engine, Squeel of brakes
A thud on the tarmack,
Many hands do shake
They disembark, A line
to the right
They sigh in unison,
Thanks to the Freedom Flight
