Jane Pauley: "...and at the foot of our great tree is the most famous ice-rink in the world, befitting an Olympic Gold medalist - don't you think? Kristi Yamaguchi, now skating to a song you all know very well..."

[Kristi skates a fun number to "Rudolph the Red-Nose Reindeer".]

Afterwards, Kristi skates over to Al Roker:

Al Roker: "Ladies and gentleman, Kristi Yamaguchi! Ah, that was wonderful. You were getting jiggy with it out there" (laughing)

Kristi Yamaguchi: "Ah yes, it's a fun song. You can."

Al: "That's great. Now here you are underneath the great Christmas tree - on the famous ice - Rockefeller Center ice skating rink. What does that gotta feel like?

Kristi: (alittle out of breath) It's a dream come true. I remember my first trip to New York, I had to come to Rockefeller Center and skate on this famous sheet of ice. So it's really quite an honor to be here."

Al: "So, how are you gonna spend Christmas this year?"

Kristi: "Well, a few days off from my touring schedule, I'll get to spend it with family."

Al: "Speaking of family - your folks are here! You wanna bring on - well come on here. You wanna introduce us to your parents?"

Kristi: "Yes, this is my mother Carole (laughing) and my dad Jim - his very first trip to New York"

Al: (to Jim) "What do you think of NY?"

Jim: "It's incredible - beautiful."

Al: "You're ready to move here aren't you?"

Jim: ::long pause::

--Laughter all around--

Al: (laughing) "We're gonna get you a place on fifth avenue. Alrighty."

Carole: "Oh, ok." (still chuckling...)

Al: "All right, the Yamaguchis'! Have a wonderful Christmas."

Kristi: "Thank you Al."

Al: "Alrighty, now lets go up to Jane and Matt."

Jane: "Thank you Al. Kristi certinately lights up the ice doesn't she?"

Matt Lauer: "She really does."
