I needed some bright pink shoes for her and only had white. My daughter had
a brainstorm and suggested I paint them. I thought Why not? I snipped the tiny
threads holding on the vinyl bows. They are shiny vinyl so I lightly sanded
them first. Then I painted them with acrylic paints and covered them with sealer
when they were dry. It worked great! I ran my fingernail over them but they did
not chip or flake! Then I tied some tiny ribbon bows (I didn't like the vinyl
ones-they were too big) and glued them to the shoe. After that we made some
lavender shoes and then got very wild with some polka dotted ones. The shoes
I used were from Tallina -#299 in a size 9 fit Linda. Tallinas also sells this
shoe for Betsy (with socks), MAC and AG. Maybe some of you have done this before
but I never had and now I am planning gold metallic and flowered and lime green...
