Welcome to Heartbeat's Social Issues |
This month we are dedicating this page to Alcoholism. This disease affects not only the alcholic, but their family and friends as well. If you or someone you know is affected by alcoholism, please get help.

Some of Heartland's Sites |
PARENTS' ALCOHOLISM: Killing our own kids - our children
This site is dedicated to these loving hearts (and every other precious little human being out there) whose youth and life has been (or will be) so selfishly stolen from them by a treacherous and dangerous alcoholic. I'm Tommy, their dad, and I am that alcoholic.
Scapegoat's Sanctuary - A Site for Alcoholics
This site includes information on AA info, AA stories, AA links, random quotes, drunk driving and more.
ACOA - Jo Jo's Home
I am an adult child of an alcoholic. I am now almost 31 years old but will never forget the fears I grew up with and the anger I've felt for many years. With the help of God's faith that I have found, I've come to terms with my father's alcoholism, but I'm far from being over the pain of it all.
Recovery
My hopes creating this site is to spread the word of hope to all women, there is a beautiful life out here, love and peace can be found within yourself, allow me to share my Experience ... Strength ... and Hope
Do you love an alcoholic?
One person's touching story of loving and alcoholic and the recovery that they themselves must go through.
RECOVERY
I say that I'm an alcoholic, because alcohol had become my "drug of choice". Actually though, I can become addicted to anything that makes me feel good from the "outside in" instead of the "inside out". My last drink (I hope) was on October 14th, 1988. Recovery has been a long and rocky road. But it has been a journey of self-discovery that I would not trade for anything in the world.
