These are some of my favorite recipes to make and eat!!

GRANDMA'S DUMPLINS

1Cup plain Flour
1/4 teaspoon Salt
1 Chicken
Ice Water
2 Chicken flavored bullion cubes
( for more chicken Flavor)


Wash, cut - up and boil chicken in seasoned water (salt, pepper & bullion cubes).
When chicken is done, it will come off the bones easily. Remove bones and let come to a boil.
Mix flour,salt and pour ice water slowly. The mixture should be stiff.
If you add too much water, simply addmore flour.
Flour a cutting board and knead your dough in the flour. Dough now should be tough.
When this consistency is reached, divide into 2 portions.
Roll dough real thin; cut in long strips and break off 3" strips
and place in boiling chicken water.
When all strips have been added, bring to a rapid boil, cover and remove from heat.

Peanut Brittle
( in themicrowave)

1 cup raw peanuts *
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup white corn syrup
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon butter
1 teaspoon baking soda

In a 1 1/2 quart casserole stir together peanuts, sugar,syrup & salt.  Cook 4 minutes on high
in microwave oven, open stir well and cook 4 more minutes on high.
Stir in butter and vanilla well, Microwave 2 minutes longer on high.
Add baking soda and quickly stir until light and foamy.
Immediately pour onto a lightly greased baking sheet; spread out very thin.
When cool break into small pieces. Store in airtight container. Makes 1 Pound.
* Roasted Peanuts may be used instead of raw, but they must be added right before baking soda.

Easy Pound Cake

1# Butter
3 cups sugar
10 Eggs
3 cups AllPurpose Flour
1 tteaspoon Vanilla

Cream together Butter and Sugar, add eggs 1 at a time and beat well,
Mix in flour and vanilla and beat real well,
Pour into a well greased and floured tube or bunt pan. Bake at 250o about 1 hour.
Check with toothpick to see if done.

Hash Brown Casserole

2# southern style hash browns
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 can of cream of chicken soup
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup diced onion
1/2 cup diced bell pepper
1/4# of melted butter
1 1/2 cups of cornflake crumbs
4tbsp. butter
_________________________________________________

Mix top 7 ingredents together pour into a greased 9x13-inch casserole.
Mix cornflake crumbs with 4 tbsp..butter and pour over the top.
Bake @350o for 1 hour.
I add ham to mine also.If you want you can use ritz crackers instead of cornflakes.
Very good for a holiday get together.
