This summer the Geneva Mission Boundaries will extend north to include the Nancy Stake and the District of Metz (if I'm not mistaken.). Number of missionaries in the mission will remain at 110, however. Geneva is still working to split the stake, waiting primarily on Yverdon's becoming a ward.
Lyon Stake is looking to create a third unit in Lyon (making four in the general area, including Bourg-en-Jailloux (sp?).)
Brother De Guzman also told that the request for Chinese speaking missionaries had been approved. It is expected that these missionaries would not be stationed in any specific city permanently, per se, but would teach all Chinese speaking investigators along Lac Leman.
Elder Franz Gagg (former stake president of the Geneva Stake, and currently Area-Authority-Seventy) spoke of the mission, of specific members, and encouraged all of us missionaries to write to those that we left behind in the field. He also spoke of how we have been great influence for good. On a related note, and anecdote was told of Sister Wirthlin's wedding, and how Elder Joseph B. Wirthlin said that we "were a special mission, doing special things at a special time."
