He was married to Agatha Petronella Maria WILLEGERS (daughter of Joannes Jacobus WILLEGERS and Arolina Cecilia BOSHUIJER) on 16 Feb 1903 in Leeuwarden. Agatha Petronella Maria WILLEGERS was born on 9 May 1874 in Leeuwarden. She died on 25 Mar 1953 in Leeuwarden. Dirk BOEKEMA and Agatha Petronella Maria WILLEGERS had the following children:
