Kitty Treats

These are my favorite recipes for my favorite treats. I hope all you kitties out there love them as much as I do!!

Tuna Cookies
1 8 oz can of tuna
2 cups flour
3/4 cup water
2/3 cup veg. oil
1/2 teaspoon salt

Mix all ingredients well, kneading just to combine. On floured surface, roll out to 1/4 inch thickness. Cut into desired shapes. Place on greased baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Cool on wire rack.



Kitty Kisses
1 can favorite canned cat food
piping bag with small plain tip

Whirr cat food in blender or food processor till the consistency of frosting. Put into pastry or piping bag and make "kisses" on parchment paper lined cookie sheet. Bake at 300 degrees until sort of dry and done. Time depends on size of kisses. Small ones take about 15 minutes.



Purrfect Dinner
1/3 cup cottage cheese
2 tablespoons Bisquick baking mix
1 tablespoons chopped liver
1 tablespoon corn oil
dash of salt

Mix all together for 1-2 cat servings. Serve warm or cold.



Kitty Krunchies
2 1/2 ups whole wheat flour
1/2 cup powdered milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 ts garlic powder1 teaspoon brown sugar
6 tablespoons butter(or any meat juices)
1 egg
1/2 cup ice water

Combine the flour, milk, salt, garlic powder and sugar. Cut in butter until mixture resembles cornmeal. Mix in egg and then add enough ice water to make a ball. Pat dough 1/2 inch thick on a lightly oiled cookie sheet. Cut into desired shapes and bake on cookie sheet for 25 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove from oven and cool on a wire rack. To vary the flavor or texture add any of the following at the time you add egg. 1 cup pureed cooked green vegetables, 6 tablespoons whole wheat or rye kernals, 3 tablespoons liver powder.(last two available in most health food stores)
