Robert W. Knochelman , 81, of Florence, died at 12:10 p.m. Sunday at St. Charles Care Center, Covington. He was a retired ticket agent for the B&O Railroad in Cincinnati and a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Workers. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy D. Stroup Knochelman; stepdaughters, Carol Spaulding of Parrish, Fla., and Peggy Romas of Independence; a brother, Ray Knochelman of Park Hills; and sisters, Ruth Manning of Covington, Betty Vogelpohl of Fort Mitchell, Louise Vogelpohl of Taylor Mill, Rita Wagner of Park Hills, Alma Fricke of Wyoming, Ohio, and Rosemary Fischer of Park Hills. Mass of Christian burial was this morning at Blessed Sacrament Church, Fort Mitchell. Burial was in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Erlanger. Memorials are suggested to St. Charles Care Center Development Office, 500 Farrell Drive, Covington, Ky. 41011; or the charity of the donor's choice. Linnemann Funeral Home, Erlanger, is handling arrangements.

Jane Schlarman Knochelman , 75, of Park Hills, died Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood. She was a homemaker and a member of Hilltoppers senior citizens club and St. Agnes Church Altar Society, Fort Wright. A son, Scott Knochelman, died in 1983. Survivors include her husband, Raymond Knochelman; a daughter, Nancy Noel of Park Hills; sons, David Knochelman of Lakeside Park and Mark Knochelman of Park Hills; and five grandchildren. Mass of Christian burial will be in 7 tonight at St. Agnes Church. Visitation will be from 4 to 6:30 p.m. today at Middendorf-Bullock Funeral Home, Covington. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Fort Mitchell. Memorials are suggested to Scott Knochelman Scholarship Fund, Covington Catholic High School, 1600 Dixie Highway, Park Hills, Ky. 41011.

Joseph H. Vogelpohl, 83, of Fort Mitchell, died at 4:46 a.m. Saturday at St. Elizabeth Hospice Unit, Covington. He was a motor vehicle supervisor with Cincinnati Bell and an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Betty A. Vogelpohl; daughters, Marijo "Missy" Vogelpohl of Lakeside Park and Barbara A. Bruegge of Erlanger; sons, Michael J. Vogelpohl of Lawrenceburg, Ind., and Rev. Daniel J. Vogelpohl of Fort Mitchell; a brother, John "Jack" Vogelpohl of Florida; sisters, Mary "Sis" Maher of Union and Ruth E. Bern, N.C.; and six grandchildren. Mass of Christian burial will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Blessed Sacrament Church, Fort Mitchell. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 tonight at the church. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Fort Mitchell. FRICKE Carl E. Beloved husband of Alma Knochelman Fricke and the late Jacqueline Brogan Fricke. Devoted father of Carol Ficke, Mary Fricke, Maureen Cahay and Joseph and James Fricke. Father-in-law of Greg Ficke and Marc Cahay. Loving grandfather of Lisa, Lindsay, Kendra, Joshua and Daniel. Served in U.S. Navy during WW II in 5 Theaters. Died Wednesday, September 25, 2002. Age 77.
