I have records showing that the J.S. Norwood (12 August 1814-10 January 1842) who married Caroline Poole did so in 1840 in East Feliciana Parish, LA.
GMNC specifically mentions John Standard Norwood on p. 157 of her Norwood III book, and states that they had one child, sex unknown. GMNC also shows John Standard as a child of Noel Norwood.
I am happy to say that my records agree with hers.
There is definitely a Southern Connection.
