Hi -

Wanted to let you know I came upon the Norwood site (great site!) today, and am able to add some data. Your files show, "Micajah Norwood, s/o Francis Norwood and Anna (---?), md. Lydia Cooper 5 Feb 1792 at Richmond, Chesire, New Hampshire; died 1819."

The Lydia Cooper* above is the daughter of Moses Cooper and Mary Mathewson of Glocester/Burrillville, RI. Accd'g to Arnold VR's for Glocester, Moses and Mary Mathewson were md. 10 Dec 1732 by John Smith, Justice. The Glocester Vr's also had the births of the children:

Sarah, 22 Sep 1733

John, 22 June 1735

Mary, 30 May 1737

Martha, 16 Sep 1739

Moses, 17 Nov 1741

Ruth, 19 Nov 1744 (printed as 1794, obviously an error)

Nathan, 25 Jul 1747

Dorcas, 29 May 1750

Stephen, 19 May 1752 (my direct ancestor)

*Lydia, 3 Jul 1754

Additionally, in the will of her father, Moses, (will dated 11 Feb 1802, codicil dated 11 June 1802, proved 11 May 1805, pgs 197-199, mentions, " Sons Moses Cooper Jr., Stephen Cooper, & Nathan Cooper. Daughters Ruth Cooper who lives with me, Martha Mathewson,
Lydia Norwood, & Sarah Taft. Grandson John Cooper. Grandson Stephen Cooper under 21 son of Stephen. Grandson Eddy Mathewson Evens Cooper under 18. Grandchildren Zenus Cooper & Ruth Cooper children of son Nathan. Grandson Moses Taft. Grandchildren Laben Thornton the natural son of my daughter Sarah, and Mijamin Taft, John Taft, Mary Hews, & Dorcas Whipple the children of my daughter Sarah."

(The will didn't mention Moses's wife or several of their children, so it is assumed that they died before the date of the will).

Hope this info helps.
