The following items appear in the will and inventory of Francis Norwood; do you know what they are? Please share your knowledge with us:
1. bed cord
2. coverlid
3. bolster of silk grass
4. flock bed
5. tramell
TRAMELL--I looked it up in the dictionary. A net for catching birds or fish. In this case, I would believe it was for fish one having three layers with the middle one fine rmeshed and slack so that fish passing through carry some of the thinner net through the courser net and are trapped. There is more to the definition, but this one sounds like what was spoken of. (This just in from an anonymous contributor--13 July 1998. THANK YOU!)
6. hake
7. stilliards
8. botle rings
9. How are wooling and linen wheels different?
10. milk keeler
11. What would an old truck have been like?
12. What do you suppose is meant by canoe?
