Henry B Cox, s/o William A Cox & Hiley Schofield Magee, h/o Addie E Lavender & Laura I Cox, enlisted March, 1862. He was elected third lieutenant at Corinth, Miss. At Readerville, Tenn, he was promoted to first lieutenant. He was in the battles at Richmond, KY and Murfreesboro, TN. At Murfreesboro he was wounded in the right foot, which resulted in much suffering and a long confinement in the Medical College Hospital at Atlanta, GA (From: Biographical and Historical Memoirs of Northeast Arkansas)
