BRASHEAR Funeral: Funeral services over the remains of the late Brice BRASHEAR, were held at his home at the corner of 10th and Commerce Streets, (Wellsburg) on Thursday morning, conducted by the Rev. G. A. ALLISON, of the M.E. Church. Services were held later at the Franklin Cemetery, where the body was laid to rest. The members of Brooke Lodge I.O.O.F. held services on Wednesday evening and furnished the pall bearers for the funeral.

Brice V. BRASHEAR was born June 19, 1836. Served 3 years in Co. G. 1st West Virginia Infantry, during the Civil War and then re-enlisted for 9 months service but was not called.

He was the eldest son of George and Elizabeth BRASHEAR -- all other members of his family having preceded him in death as follows: Morse, Mary, Rebecca, and Agnes. A half-brother of the deceased is Winfield SHRINKLER, of Alliance, Ohio.

The deceased is survived by the widow, whom he married here Nov. 18, 1911, by Rev. RIDDLE. Her maiden name was Cassander Bell HEATON. By a former marriage the following children survive: Mrs. Ella FINNEY, Martins Ferry, Ohio; Mrs. Lizzie HEATON, Mingo Jct., Ohio; George R. BRASHEAR, Chester, W. Va., and Clyde BRASHEAR of Dillonvale, Ohio.

The above children and his half-brother Finfield SHRINKLER were in attendance at the funeral.

Correct names/spelling of family members include half brother, Winfield SHRIMPLIN and Cassander "Bell"'s maiden name was ROWLAND, (d/o Samuel and Mary McCOY ROWLAND of Jefferson Co., OH); her previous marriages were to William B. JOHNSON, and John Cornelius "Neil" HEATON. This was also Brice BRASHEAR's 3rd marriage; his 1st marriage to was Mary STEWART, 2nd - Sarah "Sally" STEWART, both daughters of Robert W. and Margaret WILSON STEWART of Brooke Co., VA/WV.)
