Pharmacy Buyer and
Technician

Coordinator As a clinical research coordinator (CRC or study coordinator), I learned about the processes, as well as the Federal and local regulations, of clinical research studies
that are contributing forces in the pharmaceutical industry. During this time, I also obtained my certification through Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP). Read

Clinical Research
Associate As a clinical research associate (CRA or study monitor), I travelled to many Southwestern states to individual physician offices during clinical trial investigations. Read about the role of a CRA!
Clinical Research
Administrator
As a clinical research administrator (CRA), I functioned at a higher level in project management. This was the transition from field to in-house work. I gained considerable experience in the coordination of clinical trials at a management level. Read about the role of a CRA!
Project Manager
As a project manager (Senior CRA II), this was a rewarding move in my career. It was very exciting for me to continue my work with clinical trials at this level in project management. Working for a contract research organization, I conducted multiple clinical trials on behalf of sponoring pharmaceutical companies. Read about the role of a project manager (coming soon!)!
Manager, Regional CRAs
As a manager, part of my responsibilites included oversight of productivity, scheduling, and training of the Regional CRAs and their various project assignments. Working for a contract research organization, I also provided support to clinical projects and conducted personnel evaluations. Read about the role of a Manager! (coming soon!)
Senior Clinical Research
Associate Having obtained my ACRP certification, I have returned to field work as a senior-level clinical research associate (CRA or study monitor). I travel to Southwestern states to individual physician offices during clinical trial investigations. Read about the role of a CRA!

Education
Employment history Employment history includes
approximately twenty-two years in outpatient and inpatient medical positions, with fourteen years concentrated in clinical research.
Educational
Background A staunch supporter of education, I have encountered a variety of
academic environments in both public and private institutions. My
academic studies are ongoing.

Volunteer
Background
Advocate My first role as an advocate was
to my children. This naturally expanded as I acquired the skills,
training, and experience to serve as an advocate in Special Education
services.
Writer (COMING SOON) One of my earlier chosen
methods, which I used frequently, to communicate information to
families was that of a newsletter. From the ancient typewriter keys
to the computer keyboard, I have learned the advantages of technology
in the communication process.
Speaker (COMING SOON) With additional training,
learned skills, and acquired experiences, I soon discovered that I
was able to communicate effectively to parents, children, school
personnel, and medical professionals. An indirect result was that I
serve as a speaker on topics such as Tourette Syndrome, ADHD, hearing
impairments, parenting issues, and Special Education
processes.
