This is a class I am going to teach to the public to help them learn what options are available for them in birth. Many people have less than satisfactory experiences and outcomes because they don't know they have a choice. Many institutions don't like clients to know they have a choice, because it makes it more difficult for the staff to interfere with the normal course of labor(Medical model of care or "Managed Birth"). The hospital also cannot make as much money on ladies who don't need epidurals, pitocin drips, and cesareans. I intend to change that.
