Cherry Macaroon

6 egg whites beaten until foamy
Add 3/4 tsp. cream of tartar
Beat until stiff.
Gradually add 2 c. sugar, and 2 tsp. vanilla.
blend well.
Fold into 2 cups soda crackers that have been broken, not crushed. Top with chopped nuts. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes, no longer. Cool completely. Spread with 1 can of Thank You cherry pie filling. No spread on 1 lg. tub of cool whip.
