Our Awesome God
by Barbara Philbrook

Our Awesome God takes care of us all,
and when there's a need He sends a mortal man to call.

I had a visitor the other day,
my broken phone caused the repairman a short stay.

He shared a couple of experiences with me,
that caused me to Praise God triumphantly.

An elderly lady needed oxygen to breath,
God gave him a message so her fears' be relieved.

God told him to ask "What frightens you?",
she denied at first as most old folks do.

But then he said to her tenderly,
God gave me a message to give to thee.

"There are two eight foot angels by your bed each night,
no longer do you need to be filled with fright."

Can you imagine the relief she felt,
I know she gave God the glory as in prayer she knelt.

Now she breathes as free as before,
no need of an oxygen tank anymore.

Next he shared how as he passed the sight,
where a lady's son died the other night.

Of how God caused a rainbow to appear,
and told him "Go tell the mother what you just saw here."

Obediently he turned the truck around,
and described to this mama where a rainbow hit the ground.

A message for her with a special meaning,
now tears of joy down her cheeks are streaming.

She's sharing with others what God did for her,
how he sent a stranger to tell of what did occur.

Our awesome God sends messages of love,
to remind us He is watching from above.
