Coming Back Down
by Barbara Philbrook

I've been to the top of a mountain. The way was steep and rough.
A respite on the summit and I'll  be coming back down sure enough.

Oh the worry and fear made it tough to carry on,
there were  times it was God who I leaned upon.

He bolstered my faith and led the way,
giving me faith to face each and every day.

Our loving Father had provided friends to agree in prayer,
and in so many ways He reminded me He was always there.

It is so uplifting to have reached the summit with God's aid,
but as we all are aware, hills and valleys are how life was made.

Having reached the peak and had this great victory,
I must rely on God as well as I travel back you see.

Coming down from the top will not be too tough,
God will be my companion and assure I'm strong enough.

Hills and valleys they are what make up our travel through life,
Our Heavenly Fathers aids us through their strife.

So whether you are going up or coming down,
God's grace assures us a smile in place of a frown.

Take each step one at a time, never a need to hurry,
and if you should have a need, God will provide, don't worry.
