I Believe
by Barbara Philbrook

I believe it's going to be all right,
because I followed God's directives tonight.

I heard the phone's gentle ring,
never suspecting the news it was about to bring.

Mama said my child quietly to me,
Breanna's in the Hospital in Emergency.

Her heart's being monitored for beating too fast,
tests all day how long can this last?

Temperature of one hundred and three,
so sick she's vomiting constantly.

Talk of an MRI on her brain in a day,
at least the stomach scan and GI series were OK.

They've done cultures waiting to see what will grow,
it may be a few days till we know.

But I don't care what appears to be,
or even the amount of proof they show to me.

I heard the news got on my knees,
Father I need You to take care of this please.

Contacted so many to ask for prayer,
Thank God I have friends who care.

I believe it's going to be all right,
because we gave it all to Father God tonight.

Put her in the Father's hands as told,
offering prayer then watching the answers unfold.

I believe with all of my heart and soul,
that our loving God has it all in control.
