Lord Ease The Pain
by Barbara Philbrook

Lord ease the pain that is overtaking me,
please send enough sustaining grace from Thee.

Only two months he was here on earth,
yet his precious existance give our lives such worth.

He brought such radiance and love into our lives,
and this pain is worse than many sharp knives.

Father I know Your knowledge is greater than mine,
I ask that You remind me that my will should match Thine.

You only lent Him to us for a while,
and that You have the right to call Him home there is no denial.

I ask only that You help me this pain to bear,
and remind me constantly that he's home with You there.

I ask You to help me to remember he will never suffer or know pain,
and that one day in heaven I will hold him again.

Help me to carry on from day to day,
bringing honor to Your name in some non-selfish way.

Help me to remember You will allow no more than I can bear,
and when things get to much I can bring them to You in prayer.

I look forward Lord to holding him in my arms again,
may my walk continue close to You till then.

Lord, thank you for the short time he was here,
may I remember him with a smile instead of a tear.
