Not I But We
by Barbara Philbrook

Not I but we can do it all,
if I will only but remember to call.

To call on my Heavenly Father,
instead of me just trying harder.

I am incapable on my own,
but we can together I've been shown.

Together we can meet any task,
accomplish it all if I will but ask.

You've meant from the very start,
that I invite You into my heart.

That I seek to find strength in You,
for all that I am meant to do.

That I realize I must completely trust,
is not a request it's a must.

Lean on You  in every way,
to get through day by day.

I am incapable of the most minor task,
but have Your help if I ask.

Not I but we is what shall be,
from now throughout all eternity.
