Our God Is Able (I)
by Barbara Philbrook

Born into a family of believers was a handsome young man,
who desired to serve God ever since accepting the salvation plan.

Now having a family of preachers along the line,
one would think He'd been saved for a long time.

As is often the case he'd not committed as yet,
which may have caused some to worry or fret.

But our God is able and does not will that even one be lost,
He provided salvation at a very high cost.

One never knows where the message will be received,
and in this young man's case some find it hard to believe.

At a McDonald's standing awaiting his turn,
he made the decision for which his Savior did yearn.

Some youths following God's guidance went in and talked that day,
and he heard and received what they had to say.

Now he was getting an education to be of service to God,
after a salvation experience that to some may seem odd.

Eight and a half months later He's passed away,
he's now with our Father for every night and day.

His journal was found and read later on,
and we marveled at what we gazed upon.

To be loved was his greatest desire,
he's now in the arms of our God who's love could not be higher.

Yes our God is able to reach us no matter where we may be,
and desires that we will all be with Him for eternity.

Don't hesitate to offer an invitation to a sister or brother,
yours may be the last chance, there may not be another.

Our God is able and could do it all on His own,
but by allowing our help His great love for us is shown.
