Out With The Old
by Barbara Philbrook

"Out with the old, in with the new".
Just exactly what does this mean to you?

Will there be any changes in your life,
or will you continue with all the old strife?

Will the new millennium mean anything to you,
or will you continue doing all you used to?

Have you made a determination in your heart,
that your life will have a complete new start?

I choose to surrender anew each new day,
seeking to serve God in every way.

I choose to ignore the things I don't control,
and to try to reach a wandering soul.

To reach out and help them to see,
just what Jesus offers to them and me.

To help them understand God's great love,
and just what He's offering from above.

To assure them God heard each time they wept,
and to show them how they too can accept.

To open the word and introduce their Savior,
and explain they on their own can't change their behavior.

To give hope where they only knew despair,
to assure them our God is always near.

I'm determining to do all that I can,
to introduce our Loving God to each hurting man.
