Paid In Full
by Barbara Philbrook

I went to the cross to accept salvation,
and then walked beside Jesus as we started our new relation.

It had taken me many years to believe salvation is free,
and that Jesus had willingly died for me.

I was leary of receiving something being offered without cost,
so terribly weary and was almost lost.

Then finally my eyes were opened and I invited Jesus in,
and that's when our walk really did begin.

Soon I heard there was more to be given,
I prayed and begged for it. I was absolutely driven.

But no matter how much I begged and cried,
nothing more came. I felt I was being denied.

I told this to a special lady one day,
no no "it's already yours" is what she had to say.

You see when Jesus died on the cross at Calvary,
it was so that the accounts were marked 'Paid In Full' for you and me.

We do not receive the parts of the salvation plan one by one,
we are recipients of it all when we accept the Son.

Paid In Full, just waiting to be received,
no need to beg or plead, who would have ever believed.

I know it now and I am going to the head of the line,
I want to have all that Jesus said is mine.

I will be all that Jesus meant for me to be,
I will bring Honor to His Name now and throughout eternity.

Paid in full is what the accounts say,
come and receive what Jesus purchased for you on Golgotha that day.
