Refreshing Waterfall
by Barbara Philbrook

I felt so downtrodden it was distressing,
then God sent the water fall it was so refreshing.

I'd come to the Father filled with a need.
I fell to my knees and with prayer I did proceed.

I told God how I was so overburdened just now,
and asked Him if I'd gotten soiled somehow.

Do I need a spiritual cleansing from You?
Suddenly I was in the mist of the waterfall 'tis true.

The scent was sweet and oh so refreshing.
My mind was cleared of all thoughts distressing.

A peace and a calmness came over me,
as the waterfall flowed continuously.

Beautiful yellow flowers lined in a row,
these were signs for me of my Father's love I know.

Now when things get more than I can bear.
I think of the refreshing waterfall and wish I were there.

It still has a calming effect you see,
The refreshing waterfall God sent for me.
