The Task
by Barbara Philbrook

My mind is racing, I must get these words out of my head,
some poor soul won't be saved, they'll be lost instead.

The task is enormous, but the word must be spread.
"The bridegroom is coming, and it's his time to be wed.

The signs from the Bible have just about all come to pass.
Soon the fires of Hell will be singeing the grass.

Please listen closely, hear each and every word,
soon Gods people will be taking flight, and soaring like a bird.

I need to reach each person who has not made the choice,
please listen, just listen, you'll hear "His gentle voice".

Each and every soul is precious to our Father on high,
" He's" knocking and pleading, I'm not telling you a lie.

It's important you listen and hear what  "He" wants me to say,
"He" could come any time, "No man knows the day!"

We are saved by our faith, not what we do,
that faith is another gift that God has given to you.

Now if you think that your faith is much too small!
Just ask God for more faith, He'll l supply it all.

Don't wait to change, there may not be time,
just surrender your heart, the results will be sublime.

Now once you've given your heart to God and "His" voice you've heard,
then it's time to start sharing and spreading His precious word!

Time is growing so short, we must strive to gain,
if we all work together the work will not be in vain.
