Through Other's Eyes
by Barbara Philbrook

Through other's eyes things appear in a different way.
Help me Lord to see through their eyes today.

Help me not to be opinionated or rude.
Please give a more loving accepting attitude.

Help me to remember I still have more to learn,
and grant me the gift of the ability to discern.

Remind me daily we all have something to offer,
and my brother may have more in his coffer.

He may have been where I will tread,
being armed with his knowledge may prevent some dread.

Perhaps the fact I will tread where he has trod,
makes the fact we've met seem less odd.

May I never forget "I don't know it all",
that I'm only this far because You heard my call.

Help me to remember I am held in Your hand,
and being shaped to help in the Great Master Plan.

Through others eyes I'll get a whole new perspective.
Father I ask You to make me more receptive.
