We Come Before Him
by Barbara Philbrook

We come before Him to worship and adore,
we come to pay homage for now and forevermore.

Some are reserved in their emotional displays,
while others honor Him in various ways.

We kneel or lie prostate in the presence of our dear Father,
we offer silent adoration or we gratefully applaud harder.

Some pray silently while others in the tongues He gave,
some show mild thankfulness while others wish to be saved.

Happily, emotionally, some shedding heart felt tears,
some jumping for joy while others feel reverent fears.

None of that matters, none of it at all,
only that we love our Father and on His name we call.

We come before the Master, we meet Him at the throne,
nothing would be worse for Him then to be there all alone.

He's done it all out of love for you and me,
it's at His throne He's expecting our love for Him to see.

Come bow before Him or sing a song of praise,
just let Him know you love Him and will for all your days.

Tell Him what you feel, share with Him what He means to you,
if only you will embrace Him, He'll show you what to do.
