What Do I See?
by Barbara Philbrook

What do I see, is everything as it appears to be?
Do I have any control on how things look to me?

Does my attitude affect the things on which I glance,
or does what I see rely only on chance?

Does the direction in which I choose my mind to flow,
affect what I perceive and what my attitudes show?

Do the things on which I choose to dwell each day,
affect the direction of my life in any way.

Do I emulate those whom I confer with the most?
Do I reflect the one whom my heart doth host?

Father how can I be of any service to thee,
until I submit all that I am or will ever be?

Teach me to surrender my everything, my all,
that I will be ready when on me You call.

May every iota of my life be thine,
may it be Your will I live not mine.
