This is a poem written by my best friend before she drowned. It was written three months before the accident. She was airlifted to Childrens Hospital. The doctors put her on life support. They said that if she made it she would have major brain damage. So, they decided to let her go. She died one day before entering 6th grade. This poem touched her parents so much, they had it put on her grave stone. Dani

Where I am it's dark
I can't see anything
I hear voices calling my name
I look for the light
There is a glow coming towards me
She is the most beautiful thing I ever saw
She takes my hand and leads me from this place
Suddenly, it is light
The streets are gold
The gates are pearled
The walls are silver
I want to stay here forever

This is a poem that my niece, Dani wrote. She was 10 years old when she lost her best friend. When tragic things like this occur, it seems that the Lord has His own wonderful way of comforting our children. Even in Saras own poem, it's as if she knew of her own fate.

Angel, Angel, above me in the sky,
Will you teach me how to fly,
If you don't..I wil cry,
Angel, Angel tell me why.
|
Angel, Angel please don't go,
I will truly miss you so
"The wind will blow
and
you shall know,
why I have to go."
