!John Schooler Jr. is listed as a witness in Spotsylvania co., Virginia in 1773 along with Nathan Hawkins and Catherine Haydon Hawkins his wife's parents, Edward and Elizabeth Leavell, and Nicholas Hawkins. He is shown on a tax list in 1783 for Spotsylvania Co., Virginia. He was a planter (farmer). He migrated to Garrard Co., Kentucky around 1790 and then to Madison Co. about 1792. He returned to Garrard Co in 1832 and died in the home of his son, Benjamin. !LAND:On 21 May 1778, John Wharton leased 112 acres of land in St. George's Parish, Spotsylvania Co., Virginia and the deed lists John and Samuel Schooler. On 6 June 1796 in Madison Co., Kentucky, John Schooler purchased 200 acres on Point Lick Creek from William Jones.
