!BIRTH: Mayflower Families - James Chilton Family !MARRIAGE: " " " " " Joseph Leonard and his brother Isaac were both in Pomfret, Conn.where they traded land in 1732. After this no further records were found of them there. In a deed signed 2 Feb 1736/7 Isaac Leonard "late of Pomfret" was "now a resident in Worcester shire in York government" when he sold his holdings in Pomfret. Worcester shire in York government has not been surely located, though Westchester, New York has been suggested. Westchester Co., is next to Orange Co. where Goshen is located and Nancy Leonard who was born 1737, was living there at the time of her death in 1790. Her Temple work was done in 1895 listing her parents as Joseph Leonard and Hannah Jennings.(I assume the work was done by a grandchild or gr. grandchild who would have known more about her than we do.)
Marriage Information:
Nancy married Joel CAMPBELL, son of Samuel CAMPBELL and Mary HUNTER, about 1754. (Joel CAMPBELL was born on 22 Jan 1735 in Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts, died on 15 Jan 1828 in Ridgeberry, Bradford, Pennsylvania and was buried in Jan 1828.)
