   General Notes:

!When John Richard Schooler was about 10-12 years old, he contacted Spotted fever while on a freight trip with his father, coming from Kelton, Utah. They were west of the Hagerman Valley when he got sick. His father camped and they stayed there 16 days before they were able to move on. William heated tubs of hot water and soaked horse blankets in the hot water and then rolled John in the hot blankets. He also made Sagebrush tea, which he made his son drink gallons of. Somehow he survived and lived about fifty years after this experience. He was kicked by a horse when about 18 and his hip was dislocated or broken. For the remainder of his life, he walked by lifting his leg with his hand for each step. !CENSUS:1870 Wapello Co., Iowa, Washington pg 285 !CENSUS:1880 Ada Co., Idaho Territory pg 37 !CENSUS:1900 Lincoln Co., Idaho, Malad precinct !CENSUS:1910 Lincoln Co., Idaho, Hagerman precinct !CENSUS:1920 Gooding Co., Idaho, Hagerman precinct pg 43 living next door to his brother Wilbur. !DEATH:Idaho State Death Record FHC #64609
