We should note there is some confusion about Lt. David Powers. There
appear to be two of them. One is the son of Walter & Rebecca (this
one) and is married to Sarah Pike. There is another David Powers,
often shown as Lt. David Powers, who is the son of Walter Powers, Jr.
(we show that David as RIN 14140). And there is evidence offered by
Carl Reidinger (wsjv19a) that this David Powers was a Private in the
army, not a Lieutenant.
From Ancestral File (TM), data as of 2 January 1996.
