   General Notes:

!My grandfather knew NOTHING about his family on his father's side, and not much more on his mother's side. Until I started working on genealogy, all we knew about his father was his name and birth date. He had next to no education, but worked hard trying to support his family at any job he could find, including working in the fruit in California, during the depression. In later years he had his own logging company and his last job was as a maintenance man at the Walla Walla Airport.

George married Aletha Elizabeth POWERS, daughter of John Ransom POWERS and Minnie May SELVESTER, on 26 Mar 1922 in North Bend, Coos, Oregon. (Aletha Elizabeth POWERS was born on 14 Dec 1902 in Prineville, Crook, Oregon, died on 1 Apr 1997 in LA Grande, Union, Oregon and was buried on 4 Apr 1997 in Island City Cem., Island City, Union, Oregon.)
