!Abiram bought land in Londonderry, Windham, Vermont in 1794 and Sylvanus bought land next door to him in 1799. Abiram sold his in 1809 and Sylvanus in 1807. In the late 1790's they walked from Londonderry to Richmond, New York. They took land and settled in Canadice Hollow near Lake Honeoye and returned to Vermont to fetch their wives and families to the new location. In 1841 Abiram and Ruth sold the hilltop jungle farm to sons Job and Richard. In the deed where Sylvanus bought land in 1799, he states he was from Taunton, Bristol, Massachusetts.

Sylvanus married Phebe AUSTIN, daughter of Nathan AUSTIN and Phebe BARKER, on 12 Feb 1801 in Taunton, Bristol, Massachusetts. (Phebe AUSTIN was born on 5 Aug 1776 in , Methuen, Essex, Maine.)
