Here are pictures that I have collected over time that show people wearing permanentjewelry in different situations. Every one has a reason for wearing the piece, but the reasons are as different as the people. But the difference between fantasy and reality is that it becomes part of you, just like a tattoo, but it move independently of your body so it draws attention. It is fine to think of a dog chain a padlock, but it is not really practical. When you wear a piece 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year, and yes leap day also, it can look out-of-place, and will appear in pictures.
