My daughter, Megan, was just diagnosed with CVS. I am a nurse and never heard of it before. She has been in the hospital three times in the last 5 months, and had the first episode in February that she snapped out of on her own. The doctor wants her to go thru a bunch of tests to rule out anything else, but I wonder if that's really necessary. They're pretty sure she has CVS, so I'd hate to see her have to go thru all that if there's nothing they can do anyway. Any thoughts on that? She's only 7 yrs ld and I don't want to put her thru unnecessary trauma when she'll probably have more to come just with the CVS itself. Good Luck to you!

My daughters name is Rachelle, she is 15 and has been diagnosed with cvs. It has taken 9 years to discover this. One time she was in the hospital for three weeks. Her episodes last 5-7 days, sometimes longer. Once they even took her appendix out because t ey thought that was what was causing her problem. She just got out of the hospital the other day.
