To the mother church of Peterborough and to the poor people of Woodend and Blakesly, 10s amongst them
My thee younger sons George, Nicholas & William Bainton to be set forth as apprentices of trades or places fitting for them & given each not above the sum of twenty nobles
To my brother John Bainton, my brother in law Thomas PETIVER, and John BOUGHTON of Woodend, yeoman, my lands in Woodend & Blakesly to be divided in three parts etc
A part of the lands to be used for the benefit of my wife & children [including] the aforesaid George, Nicholas & William & my daughters Elizabeth & Mercy Bainton & 40 pounds apiece, when they reach their several ages of 20 years
To my son Hierome Bainton my bedstead standing in the parlour etc. [numerous items]

John Fowler de Drayton in the parish of Daventry, yeoman. Will made 15 May 1617. To the poor of Drayton 5s. To Robert MANLEY my son in law, & Joan his wife, my daughter, my cottage house in Daventry in a street called Newland now in the occupation of John POWELL. To Alice Fowler my youngest daughter my cottage house in a street called the Sheep Markett, now in the occupation of Thomas COTSBROOKE
Also to Alice Fowler my daughter £40 when 21 years. To my son Lawrence Fowler £100. To my daughter Joan Manley aforesaid, my cottage etc in Daventry in a street called the Newland adjoining the cottage in the tenure of the said John Powell, now in the occupation of Thomas BLYSSE upon condition my son Lawrence Fowler is paid £30 [will torn away] ............
