Margerie Lichfield of Castle Ashby , widow.

Will made 30th July 1604

My body to be buried by my husband's body in the churchyard of Castle Ashby

Al£my goods to my son John Lichfield, my executor, he to pay the legacies as were my late husband's, Thomas Lichfield of Castle Ashby, husbandman, by his last will in the presence of William PRYTHERGHE Doctor of Lawes & Elizabeth Prytherghe his wife, Henry GARNETT, Raphe CHAPMAN, Parnell PICKLER ?? & others, read over & ratified by the testator (Margerie Lichfield) in the presence of Thomas HULL & Thomas BATTISON of Ashby aforesaid, husbandman & Alice WATTS, widow with others the first day of August 1604

Sign. Hull [sic] Henry Garnett, Thomas Battison   Sign Margerie Lichfield

Afterwards gave to Henry TITMAN half a quarter of corn & to every country house 6d apiece. Towards the repair of the church 2 strike of wheat.

William Fancer of Norton husbandman,

My body to be buried in the churchyard of Norton aforesaid

To my wife Joan Fauncer [Fanncer?] 5 ewe sheep etc

Refers to an Indenture of lease of the Worshipful Sir Richard KNIGHTLEY, Knight & the Lady Elizabeth, late his wife.

To my son William Fancer £10 half when he marries & half when 30 years

To James Fancer one other of my sons £10, half when he marries & half when 20

years

To Elizabeth Fancer my daughter £20

To Mary Fancer my daughter £20

My eldest son Thomas Fancer my executor & to him the lease of the farm in Norton, wherein I now dwell

Overseers my well beloved friend & kinsman James KNIGHT & Richard HARDIMAN of Norton, & they to have 5s between them
