Who in the heck is Jenna, anyways?! |
---|
Jenna is me! Okay, so that tells you nothing, right? *grin* My family: two children, girl/5/Mackie and boy/2/Joe. My husband is Jereme. Our pets are Kissy (black calico female cat, born on Mothers' Day 1998) and Harold (our cyber-parrot fish, he's a MOPy fish and is about 3 weeks old now!). I love birds and feed all the local finches, wild canaries, jays, and black-birds (or crows, if you will) that come to my sliding glass back doors telling me it's time to eat! We all love horse-back riding and being out in the country, camping, and going up on Mt. Hood. I am a quilter and love making my own designs, however very few of them get implemented as I create soooo many designs! I first became interested in quilting when my great-grandmother made me my first quilt, it was a pretty ugly patchwork thing, but made with so much love and care (she didn't have a lot of money for fabric, but had a huge heart!) that I still treasure it to this day. In fact, my son uses it on his bed right now! I made my first quilt (a crib quilt) for my daughter just before she was born, I was a mere 20 years old then... how time flies! ;o) I'm a self-taught and ever-learning herbologist... or probably more accurately just a lover of herbs and their many uses, both practical and functional as well as ornamental and cosmetic. I have been along the route: in the military (USAF), a single mother, in low-income housing, a working-single mother, a married working mother, and a married stay-at-home mother (this is currently). I also home taught my daughter for two years, before putting her in public school. Soon, my son will be home taught too! I have had a lot of hard times as a parent, as well as a lot of wonderful "Kodak" moment times, too. IMHO, parenting is the hardest, most important, and most rewarding~as well as the least rewarding!~job that any human being will ever have! I grew up in a single parent household until I was about 15, when I gained a step-dad and two step-brothers. I also gained a real love of living in the country, even though I had lived "there" for several years before the marriage, it hadn't connected in my young mind, the difference between living in the city and living in the country... Also that: You can live in the city and still be country, it's all in the mindset and the heart! Anyways, I've learned alot from both of my parents, and love them both dearly. I'm currently involved in helping them set up their own website, as well as maintaining my own! I'm a busy girl, eh? Soon, I'll be helping my nieces and sister-in-law build their own webpages to go inside my website (in the Adoptees section of the site). I have some goals for this website... They are few but very important to me:
So those are my goals! And that's me! I hope you feel like you know me a little better, perhaps you could send me an e-mail and we can get aquainted? You never know when you're going to find a new friend! |
