         The Mice are Nice unit consists of a balanced approach to literacy development for primary students (K-2).  Included in the unit are poems, songs, writing activities, journal guidelines and student journal resources to copy, literature selections, integrated content areas and more.  Centers for literacy are also available.  The elements of the unit will save time in  planning and implementation.  Assessments are included in each unit.  One assessment is a standardized test format for practice.
