Welcome to our First Grade Family!

  We hope that you had a wonderful summer vacation and your child is ready to begin a new school year as a first grader.  This year will be interesting and stimulating for your child.  We will travel through diverse themes as we learn.  We will work as members of a classroom community.  This year your child will be learning letters, reading and written language in English.

   Please take some time to read and discuss this parent information handbook for our first grade families with your child.  You will find our schedule, the school calendar, the homework policy and form, school rules, and helpful information.  When our parents understand the expectations of the school and their child's teacher they are able to support and encourage academic success in the education of their child.
