From there, Mrs. Mack came with the children in a steamboat to the mouth of the Sandy River.  The family traveled together to Clackamas County, where they camped for some time on Abernathy Creek near Oregon City.
William O. He taught the first school which was among the first in Clackamas County. He lived there until 1878, when he moved to Canby. Louisa M.
