I loved Myranda's web page. She is a very pretty girl; I know that you must be proud. It must have been rough on you seeing her go through all of that when she was born. I know how hard it was for me. My son was just born last month and he was only 4 eeks early, yet he had a lot of problems with his lungs. He had RDS. He was on the ventilator for about 5-6 days and then on the nose prongs for another week before he was allowed to come home. I think that was the hardest two weeks of my life; doctors told us that he may not survive the first night, and then they told us that he may get IVH's from the pressure of the ventilator. But, luckily, we haven't seen anything like that, but it has only been a month. I hope that Myranda is still doing well and I wish all of you the best.

I liked your story...my daughter ashley was born at 33 weeks she weighed 3 4 1/2 oz and almost 15 inches.. doctors said she would be sent home with tubes and monitors and stuff but she wasnt .she was born on july 29 93 instead of sept 26 of 93 to make a long story short she's a very happy healthy preemie problem free 5 yr old little girl /she has no side affects from being born early. If any thing people thinks she is very smart her growth is perfect and weight is normal for her. From the littl miracle that she was. I thank god every day she's a happy normal little girl... thank you for sharing your story

I was so happy to see that your baby is adorable and not suffering any noticable damage from her bleed and prematurity. My son has not been as fortunate. But we are dealing with it and love him very much. The therapy is helping alot and we are still ho eful that he will one day walk. I enjoyed your web site very much, I just gave birth to our son: Ernesto Isay Ramirez on the 12-22-98, he was not due until 3-30-99. So that adds up to be exactly 14 weeks early. There was no explanation to why I went into premature labor, but I did and gave birth to our beautiful little boy. He weighed 1 lb. 12 1/2 ozs., and was 12 3/4 inches long, very dark and very, very handsome! At first the docs only gave us a 40% chance of survival for our son and than after I gave birth, that same evening his d cs told us that he chance of survival was between 60-70 %! We were so glad, but we were also told not to count on him going home until sometime around his due date. One final thing I would like to say that first and above all, if it was not for the grac ous GOD above we would not have our son with us today 1-5-99, but this little tiny boy has the strength that you could not believe and he is doing very well, Thanks to our GOD in heaven above! I would like to hear from other preemie moms.

I'm really surprised how much my little brother has been through and to see how much your baby has been through. My brother has a nick name it is "The Miracle Baby" I'm sure your baby has a nick name too. My brother was born 15 weeks early and weighed at 1lb 12oz. The first time I saw him, I was shocked to see that he was that small. Now he's 3months adjusted to his original due date. He is very big, and smiles a lot. He weighs 12lbs. now. My name is Corey, I'm his big sister. I'm 10 3/4 yrs. I can't w it till I can babysit. My mom says when I am about 12yrs old I can babysit. you're a cute baby.my baby was born 27 weeks & 5 days on 12/08/98 weighing 855 grams and measuring 11 inches. to-date, she (juliana) is about 7.5kg. on 15/12/98, she is going for her ear surgery to drain out the fluids in her inner ears which hopefully it will enable her to hear better. she is unable to lift her head or to grab things but we're taking one day at a time. the most important is to have FAITH. wishing you & your parents :- best wishes & merry christmas !! from : juliana's parents (janice & james)
