Notes for Nicholas Whitford
Walter Coates shows a son Daniel with no dates. If this is Nicholas' son then he probably died early since he is not mentioned in Nicholas' will. Ann McComb says d Oct 1747. Shirley Barnes says that Mary Casey is not his wife as the dates for her birth show. Wife is probably Mary Carr.

Edwin C. Whitford agrees that Mary Carr is probably the correct wife. Here is some of his thinking: Robert Whitford, son of Nicholas could have been names after his great grandfather Robert Carr. Robert Whitford and Margaret Fones names a son Caleb possibly after Roberts grandfather Caleb Carr. They also had a son William which could have been named for Robert's uncle William Carr(brother of his mother). Mary Carr's brother was named Job and Nicholas' son Pasco named a son Job.9

Notes for Mary Casey
The wife of Nicholas Whitford I believe is not Mary Casey. Mary was born in
1710, daughter of Adam and Mary (Greenman) Casey. Nicholas'
children were born from about 1700 to 1717. From the discussions I've
seen on this I think that Mary Carr is much more likely as the wife of
Nicholas. 9
