Silvers

Also called American White or Silver Cherry

A Silver is an American Yellow Peachface lovebird in the blue series. They vary greatly in coloration, but can be readily identified by the greyish penciling on the edge of each feather. And, as with any blue series bird, they will have the light cantaloupe forehead.

 

 

I am finding that the silver is very hard to photograph.

 

I finally got a better shot of the penciling.

This is apparently a young bird (as is the one in the first photo), as there is no melon color on the forehead. You would expect that to appear at about 6 months.

 

Ahh.... And here is an even better shot.
